xxxx"As a self taught artist I have experimented with a wide variety of media.  The uncontrollable elements of watercolour provide an excellent medium for the dreamlike expressions of my mainly figurative paintings.  These paintings emerge through a variety of processes each of which allows a way for shapes to form without needing a preconceived idea for composition.  I enjoy the freedom of working large and the containment of producing miniatures paintings equally well.
xxxx"Fiber art is attractive to me as is using recyclable materials. Palm pods and fronds seem to have excellent shapes for mask making.  They are thoroughly cleaned, sealed,  painted with acrylic paint then decorated with old jewellery, shells, feathers and raffia.

xxx"Sculpture is another appealing genre.   Having worked for many years as a massage therapist my hands seem to have memory of the human form and depicting it with a peaceful, meditative expression is the way I like to work.  I enjoy working with clay but find paper clay has more immediate results and does not require firing.
xxx"Community and collaborative projects have always been a part of my art practice, they always provide new ideas and opportunities to learn.  Most recently I assisted other artists in creating lanterns for a children’s festival here on Mt. Tamborine.  While residing in Dallas Texas, I was part of art cooperative sharing a working studio and gallery with four other artists.  In Melbourne I was involved with public art in the western suburbs.
xxx"I have worked professionally in the healing arts for many years as a massage therapist, meditation teacher, celebrant and retreat facilitator.

"My art mission is to portray images that have energy of peace, gentleness and power, showing both the human and spiritual aspects of the physical form."
