Someone recently told Maki of an American Indian saying: we come into the world crying, but our birth brings smiles to everyone's faces; we should live our lives so that we may leave the world with a smile on our faces, even though there are tears in everyone's eyes. Brian left us as he lived, with a smile on his face. There's so much we can all learn from his life!
